SNIM and Murphy Oil Agreements Strengthen Mauritania’s Industrial Opportunities

On 3 November, Mauritania signed two exploration and production-sharing contracts with US-based Murphy Oil for offshore blocks C10 and Tiof, while the mining sector also advanced logistics cooperation involving SNIM and Essar’s Askaf iron ore project. The Murphy contract terms and investment commitments were not disclosed. Oilfield service companies, industrial equipment suppliers, railway logistics operators and engineering firms can explore future opportunities, with HPC supporting supplier sourcing and commercial partnerships.
